Budman
Because the format of the document in the attachment above may not be compatible with everyone's PC, I am transcribing its content here, so everyone will be able to read it. TO POST A PHOTO ON TXSZ: 1. First, you must have the photo downloaded into your computer. To do this from an existing photo, it must be scanned into your computer's "photo file". It can also be scanned into another computer and e-mailed to your computer. From there you can then place it in your computer's photo file. But, that is really a whole different topic and I won't go into that any further now. 2. Once the photo is in your computer's photo file, it will likely need to be downsized and/or cropped. Most PCs have this capability I think. There is a limit to the size of photo the TXSZ server computer will accept. This is mainly a trial and error thing you have to play around with. If the photo is too big, the server will give you an error message. Don't be afraid to try. It won't let you make a mistake. ONCE YOU ARE AT THIS POINT, POST YOUR PHOTO ON TXSZ, AS FOLLOWS 3. On the thread you want to post the photo on, click on the button "Add Reply". If you want your photo on a new thread, click on the button "Post New Topic". You must type something in the text box in order for it to post. I usually type >>>>>. This keeps you from losing all the info you would type in the description, if it turns out the photo does not post. 4. Below the text box, click on the "browse" button. A window will open up on your screen. Pull down the name of your computer's photo file and click on it. Thumbnail sized pics of your photos will come up in the window. Scroll down until you find the photo you want to post. 5. Click on the photo you want to post. 6. Click on the "Open" button. 7. The text box should then come back up. Click the "Add Reply" button. Your photo should then be posted on TXSZ. Check to make sure is posted correctly. 8. Then, click on the "Edit" button on the post of your photo. A text box will appear. Type in the description of your photo. 9. Click the "Submit Modified Post" button beneath the text box, and you're finished.
txtom
I figured out a really easy way to resize a pic with the paint program everyone has on their computer. Simply access the paint program, then hit OPEN, then access the pic you want from whatever file it is in. When it comes up in the paint program, go to where it says IMAGE, it is a pull down menu, then click STRETCH/SKEW. Under STRETCH, It will show a couple blocks, and theywill have a value of 100 in them. Tab on each and change them to 50. Save it and check for size. You will need under 102 KB size, and a good pixel size is APPROXIMATELY 640 X 450 or so. A little smaller is better. If it is still a little big, go back to the STRETCH boxes; they will again say 100. This time, change them to 75, and check again. Once you do this a couple times, it will go very quickly, and you'll get an idea how much to change them.
