ASCS Gulf South Region Schedule Released

 

Lonnie Wheatley, TULSA, Okla. (January 19, 2006)- The 2006 schedule for the Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores American Sprint Car Series Gulf South Region was released from the series' home office in Tulsa, OK, today.

 

 

The 2006 ASCS Gulf South slate currently consists of 25 events at ten different tracks throughout Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Arkansas.

 

 

The series kicks off April 7 at Motorama Speedway in Beaumont, TX, and wraps up the 2006 season at Pike County Speedway in Magnolia, MS, on October 14.

 

There are a pair of tracks on the 2006 schedule that will be hosting the ASCS Gulf South Region for the first time, including Houston's Battleground Speedway and Louisiana's Baton Rouge Raceway.

June 17 – Pike County Speedway (Magnolia, MS)

 

June 23 – Motorama Speedway (Beaumont, TX)

 

June 24 – Houston Raceway Park (Baytown, TX)

 

July 1 – Fast Trax Speedway (Chatham, LA)

September 16 – Gator Motorplex (Willis, TX)

 

September 29 – Motorama Speedway (Beaumont, TX)

 

September 30 – Houston Raceway Park (Baytown, TX)

 

October 13 – Baton Rouge Raceway (Baton Rouge, LA)

 

October 14 – Pike County Speedway (Magnolia, MS)

 

 

 

Including ASCoT and the American Sprint Car Series Regional Tours (Gulf South, Mid-South, Midwest, Northern Plains, Rocky Mountain, Sooner, Southern, Sprints on Dirt), the American Sprint Car Series will present approximately 180 nights of racing in 2006.
