I believe I got this right for some late model champions. 1974 - Glenn Schwabe 1975 - Leroy Brooks 1976 - Bubba Storbeck 1977 - Lucian Wallace 1978 - Ricci Ware, JR Will add to this soon. tps48 Posted January 22, 2006 Report Share Posted January 22, 2006 I'm not sure if he was a champion or not, but one of my favorite drivers was Clarence Lovell. He worked at my dad's shop also until he went NASCAR racing. My dad sponsored a set of tires for him one race. ( Dad didn't know how short a life race tires have) Clarence hit him up for another set a couple weeks later and my surprised dad asked him "what happened to the tires I bought you?" He was not a sponsor any more when Clarence told him how many tires it took to run the season. I don't have any pics of Clarence, maybe someone can post one.
