  1. Except for putting  a guy in the wall, Deegan did pretty well.  Natalie Decker was doing well also and got caught up someone else's mess.

Talent is important to race, but having the talent to raise money is probably more important.  This is a business, it has always been and will always be.

  2. Just hard racing.  Pollard never turned him until he did it to pay him back.   Mr. Nasse is just a hot head.  But both have a good following.  Nasse is still saying he is going to tear some stuff up getting even.   Get the popcorn ready

  3. Bubba Pollard and Steven Nasse are bringing some action to the Super Late model world.   Bubba says they are like Oil and Water.    This is just what we need.  The Late model world is beginning to boom again.  They tear these $100,000 cars up like nothing.

Maybe U2 should just wish "anyone" who gets in a race car ... best of luck & safe racing?

It's easier to stomach for the rest of us who "genuinely" support the sport...

United we race ... divided we don't!

Hey bruh, I support them all, even COTA.  I love watching the truckers wreck.

  5. The deal is the younger generation is doing everything online, like Iracing.   They dont care about rust bucket tracks.   They are all the same online, and some of them are getting sponsors to race online.  The funny part is they think they are racers rather than gamers.   Nascar is doing a good job promoting them and making Nascar fans out of geeks.   That is a good thing

Well then I hope you told them to tell their tour guides they need to spout some truth.  I know I had to correct him when we were at the drag strip and he said the 2 of John Force's daughters still race.  I had to step in and correct him that only 1 still races.

No Sir, I did not tell them anything other than I read it online.  If I remember correctly, he said that they are not even selling tickets for this year until March.

Interesting note that I heard last week while in Charlotte.  We did a tour of the speedway, drag strip, and dirt track.  The World Finals at the Dirt track are sold out of Camping spots and seats for the next 5 years.  I asked the tour guide who has worked at Charlotte for many years, "What does that tell you?" He said people love the dirt racing and the show, no matter how dusty and dry it gets.

I went here https://www.charlottemotorspeedway.com/events/can-am-world-finals/ and found where you can buy seats/camping.  Just in case, I called to confirm.  Those media/tour guides may be FOS.   5 years ?  LOL  They told me they are not even selling that far ahead.  Come on man.......We love dirt, but ...

  8. I think this makes it more of a team sport.  While eliminating the element of the pit stop with professional pit crews, more of the emphasis will now be on the guys to actually turn wrenches on the car.   It will be a huge cost savings, but probably a little less exciting for the fans.    This is bringing a little old school back to the sport which everyone is calling for.   Remember the controlled stops in the old truck series?    While watching these professional pit crews do the amazing work is cool, things change.   This should make little difference to the geeks who are streaming this on their Iphone, they dont watch pit crews anyway.    I am just glad these drivers today are shaving their heads or at least putting a little rearend grease in their hair and we dont have a bunch of Kyle Pettys out there with pony tails

  9. Mr. Tavo has had a suite there at COTA that he has for the Hellmund Family and friends.     I would call that hanging out.   His plate on one of  his Mercedes is "F1USGP" and the other is "F1MEXGP".    He is s supporter of it so why should anyone hold a grudge?   The point is, some people buy into what the media says a little too much.   He played the media and some are missing out supporting what he is responsible for building.

  10. Mr. Hellmund played the dispute with his partners out in the Media, and was successful with it.  He got a huge settlement.   The reason that he was bought out was that the business model he put together did not work out for the investors, but  was real nice for him and was not sustainable.     That was Tavo who secured the tax funding for COTA.

He cashed his check and laughed all of the way to the Bank.   The public was played in this deal.  He worked the media and loves the Drama.

I have no clue why someone would be mad at COTA, Tavo secured the Tax deal, made himself rich and now attends the races there.   By boycotting the track for political purposes is counter productive to racing, period.

  11. I agree, she is pretty good, but no better than about a thousand guys who are unable to secure sponsorship at the same level.   There is tons of local talent as good or better than her, but she was born into this.  It is not her fault she is lucky, so more power to her.  She is good for the sport and some Dads can now get their daughters to go to the races instead of staying at home baking cookies.
