Radical: I agree with you 100%

i go to races to have fun not to fight .you can go anywhere for a fight
I'm with you Mr Hi-Tech.....Drama is one thing and there's always plenty of it to go around at every race and every track. Fighting is entirely another and that's not why I go see a race. Racing isn't about who can beat up another person(s) with a tire iron or whatever is handiest to use. Its about the car that crosses the finish line first

I’m glad you liked the video and recalled some good memories from it Hi-Tech
-
In honor of the passing of CC , let’s watch some racing action from there:
-
The truck race was cancelled due to weather until 9pm ESDT Sunday and moved to FS2. That’s great, I don’t get FS2 on my TV without a subscription upgrade. Not doing it.
-
I watched the cup cars practice tonight.
Are you kidding me? Dust bowl in 50 laps and dry slick in less. They’re gonna run 250 laps with 3400# race cars? This will not be good IMO. -
My bad! I thought for some reason Brandon was your son. Thx for the great response anyway and I wish you guys the best of luck when you do race
-
Thanks Reb for doing these results! Great job!
Hi-Tech, how did your son finish second? Problem with car or something? He usually wins after winning a heat race.
-
Hi-Tech . He mentioned that a couple of crew members liked to get in fights and they basically got run off from the track in CC. Could you elaborate a story or two on what the beef was that got them kicked out? I’m just a curious old guy that likes a back story and this one sounds like it would be a good one.

Just on today....Bobby Labonte discusses how he got started ...first talks about Corpus

Thanks for this great info James! Without it I wouldn't have known

"Bad Boys Speedway"
The scammers even went so far as to have a sign made and erected and took the Longhorn Speedway one down

It’s a flea market now on the weekends. So sad to see it’s gone forever. It was our Saturday night playground for many years. I miss it too!’
-
So Nick, Has HiTech approached you yet about changing his screen name back to Oldtimer? People who have to fight with the mirror and use a hammer have no business with a screen name of HiTech anyway LOL

I recall attending races in 1970 at the local track and seeing 1955-1957 Fords and Chevys race in Sportsman and Late Models but vividly remember in 1972 there were just a few 55-57's around and everyone was running 1965-1967 Chevelle's and maybe a couple of 65-66 Fords. . By 1975 they were running 1969 Chevelle's in Late Models and 65-67 Nova's in sportsman....By 1979 all the 55-57's were gone and now they are running 1969-1972 Chevelle's with a smathering of 1970-72 Ford Torino's . There were no Five Star Bodies back then....you hit the junkyard or had a sheetmetal worker fabricate them.

IMO as well, I agree with the statement above. Show me a good close race, passing on the outside, and great car counts....that's my priorities as a fan now.

Well structured and put together video.....job well done!!!
-
Man you are a hoot! Don’t ever lose that sense of humor, it’ll keep you young!
-
Nick...These are AWESOME pictures! Thanks so much for posting them!
Did the Lost Speedway folks give you any indication of when the show will be aired?
-
Came across this today and wanted to share it with the group. Actually shows cars on the track and they are laying down some amazing times.
-
Happy Belated Birthday Mr HiTech........you're a year behind me but that's ok, since once you get above 60 we all get lumped into the same group and we call that the
"OLDTIMER GROUP"

Josh Bilicki's RF Brake Rotor caught fire on the last lap of the race today, exploded ,and sent pieces into the grandstand but no injuries are reported since seating was limited I guess? Glad everyone is OK
This is a picture of the car (owned by Rick Ware Racing) that I snagged,

I enjoy Rebs reports and read them all. What I'd like to know is when I'll see Mr Hi Techs car in a race at I-37?
