Nick Holt you have been a great role model on how to conduct one's self in every aspect of racing. All of the LSSZ members that have applauded or been pissed at me (which I always contacted you privately) I appreciate you!

In Central / South Texas we've been blessed with some awesome race track announcers. Starting way back in the 70s with Ricci Ware, Sr. and Jud Ashmore at Pan American Speedway, Neil Upchurch and Russ Martin at TWS, Milton Hope at SAS, Uncle Bob Mireles at HMP, Roland Morgan at Gator, Jonathan Sanford at the CBS and a Houston track or two, Bobby Chaffee, Chuck Licata.... All great announcers.

But I'll place you right at the top of that list, Rodney, and I'm sure there are many, many folks who would do the same.

You know everyone appreciates you guys .both of you work hard at promoting racing like no others .both of you are like a light house guiding the sailors home a beacon a king and queen though which one is the queen you decide some are blinded by the light and cant see the forest for the trees and never get a grip on what you two have done for racing ....I am one not blinded ...

Thanks to both of you .

Rodney Double R: I hope you are able to find another track to announce at. Your dedication to the sport and to the art of announcing should not be wasted. I have been to all different kind of tracks all over the country and there is no single item that will improve the track experience for the fans than a good track announcer. In my travels to different tracks, good announcers are few and far between. You have always done your homework where the driver information comes out as natural as if you were life long friends. I know you enjoy racing, but if I had a choice to watch you race or hear you announce, well, you won't need a helmet.

Good Luck My Friend

Uncle Bob
