RodneyRodriguez
Paxson rules at South Texas Speedway as DCRST "gets dirty" A-Line Auto Parts Dwarf Car Racing Series of Texas (DCRST) driver Ty Paxson (15) from Boerne, TX put a complete race night together winning both a great battle in the main event and his heat race at South Texas Speedway in Corpus Christi Saturday night. In the main event Paxson worked through the field and set up a great battle with Ryan Stoy (20) and Drew Simental (37) as the 3 lead the field on the dry slick race track. A couple of early cautions and red flags slowed the pace, but as the green flew the trio battled to the end to finish 1-2-3. Dylan Coyne (12) and Kevin Hubbard (8) rounded out the top 5. Brayden Becker (17), James Fitzgerald (6), Chris Silvas (85), Butch Havelka (27) and Gary Buchanan (31) rounded out the top 10. Dylan Budnik (25) and Stoy captured the other heat race wins. With the STS race in the books the DCRST point standings reset dropping each drivers' 2 lowest point nights for the A-LINE FINAL 4 Chase to the Championship. Revised point standings are at www.alinedcrst.com as well as race video archives and full race results. The Chase begins September 10th back at Central Texas Speedway, race 2 back to STS September 24th. The month of October takes race 3 back to CTS on October 22nd and the Championship is decided November 12th at CTS. TexasAggie13
Thank you arob. I hope it was as exciting to watch from the stands as it was from the track. At times I was more focused on watching the top 3 battle it out and swap positions than I was on driving. I can't wait to see the RaceOnTexas video.
