REBELRACER Posted November 9, 2005 Report Posted November 9, 2005 looks like everyone gets their way for next season except mark martin......busch has been released to drive for penske, mcmurray has been released to drive the 97 (soon to be 28 car), but still mark martin gets forced to drive nextel cup next year.........seems a little selfish of jack roush to have it both ways........ Crazyhorse Posted November 9, 2005 Report Posted November 9, 2005 mark dosen't act like he's in a real big hurry to quit...... Quote

REBELRACER Posted November 9, 2005 Author Report Posted November 9, 2005 well not forced but put in a tight spot..........he agreed to put off retirement for another year to help roush out because mcmurray wasnt available.......now mcmurray is available but martin is stuck racing again next year.........still not sure why roush decided to put mcmurray in the 97 (28) car instead of the 6........ Colt15 Posted November 9, 2005 Report Posted November 9, 2005 he agreed to put off retirement for another year to help roush out because mcmurray wasnt available.......now mcmurray is available but martin is stuck racing again next year i think there plans got dampered when busch decided to leave Quote
Mel Posted November 9, 2005 Report Posted November 9, 2005 Sure would be a nice place for Ricky Rudd to spend a last year or 2. Mark could retire when he wants, and Roush gets another quality veteran for the 6 car. Unless there is a bad history there? Quote
ivicic Posted November 9, 2005 Report Posted November 9, 2005 Todd Kluever is going to drive the 6 car with AAA as the sponsor. One full year in Busch next year and then both the next. Big shoes too fill for a rookie. He'll do just fine though. Quote
colgate Posted November 10, 2005 Report Posted November 10, 2005 ok if mcmurry is driving the 28 for next yrear does anyone know if texaco is coming with him. I HOPE SO WOULD LOVE TO SEE THAT NUMBER BACK WITH A FORD AND SAME SPONCER IT WOULD BRING BACK ALOT OF MEMORIES BACK WOULDNT IT CRAZY HORSE Quote
REBELRACER Posted November 10, 2005 Author Report Posted November 10, 2005 no i saw somewhere that diago (whatever there name is) the crown royal people are going to be the sponsor of the 28 car, along with newell/rubbermaid..............somewhere else it said that texaco will be back with the ganassi 42, and they were happy with mears as the selection for driver of the 42 car..........but a number 28 texaco ford would be sweet..............
