NeilTPS Posted September 21, 2005 Report Share Posted September 21, 2005 a September 21, 2005 e-mail to TEXAS PRO SEDANS Members The “Stock Car Spectacular” at Thunder Hill Raceway on Saturday, September 24 is POSTPONED DUE TO Hurricane RITA. The threat of Hurricane RITA has forced the postponement of the “Stock Car Spectacular” until the posted rain-date of October 22. TPS Race Director Neil Upchurch said “I talked with Thunder Hill Raceway track officials. They made the decision to postpone the race due to the seriousness of and threat to many of the racers families who live on or near the Texas gulf coast and a high percentage probability of heavy rain across Texas this weekend”. TPS Entry Fees will be carried over to the rain date at THR on October 22. Since Race # 11 on September 24 will not happen, Race # 12 on October 22 will be the final event in our eleven race season for TPS and will decide the Texas Pro Sedans 2005 Championship. The October 22 projected schedule should be about the same as was dispatched to all TPS members on September 19. This Oct 22 schedule is subject to alteration: 10:00---Pit Gate opens 11:10---TPS Practice – 3 sessions at 11:10, 12:50 & 2:30 2:50-----TPS Drivers Meeting 4:15-----TPS Qualifying Time Trials 7:00-----TPS Feature Race – 30 laps (4 gallons or 28 lbs top off allowed) 7:20-----All other Feature Races: Allison Legacy, THR Hobby, THR SS, Karts, Dwarf, TSRS (intermission), USAR Super Late Model 125, TAMS, Trucks An amended October 22 Race Bulletin at THR will be also be posted in the near future on ……..TexasProSedans.com…. and e-mailed to all TPS members. Sorry for the inconvenience, but RITA is larger than stock car racing. She is having her own “Spectacular” in Texas this week.
