Johnson drove his #15 VW Rabbit. On the first lap of the 20 lap TPS Feature Race, Sergio Hexsel took the lead in turn one as he appropriated the lead from Tom Johnson who moved into moved into second place behind Hexsel. They maintained this close formation until Bill LaBarge and his BMW took over second place behind the leader, Sergio Hexsel. Hexsel and LaBarge dueled nose to tail for the entire race and crossed the finish line 20 laps later with only 0.30 seconds separating their cars. Two other TPS drivers completed the race on the lead lap behind race winner Hexsel and “runner-up” LaBarge. Third was claimed by TPS Rookie driver Tom Johnson. He was followed by Mike Knotts who placed fourth with his VW Scirocco in a photo finish. Knotts has had four good finishes this season.
