thr_spectator
Its a th-350 non lockup style transmission....it will go into reverse just fine but will not go into a forward gear until you rev the motor to around 2000 rpms. it was ran low on fluid(by accident) it has the stock converter on it also... could this be the pump going out?...torque converter? or clutches? ..any input would be appreciated. SeanAugustus
Hey THR, Its not going to be the torque converter. Pump is possiblilty. Did you go through all of the gears to see if they are working. My best educated guess would be that the clutches/clutch plates got burnt up and thats causing your problem. Now b/c you do have reverse gears, its possible that you only burnt the forward clutches and not all of them. But since its going to be torn down I would go ahead and replace all of them at the same time. Could cause problems in the future for ya. Hope this helps sean
