LEGACY Posted August 4, 2005 Report Share Posted August 4, 2005 Legacy Series ‘Doubleheader’ at Houston to benefit youth racing charity By Paul Culin Just Stick It Vinyl Graphics is sponsoring an Allison Legacy Race Series doubleheader at the Houston Motorsports Park on Saturday, August 6th. The event will benefit the "Keeping Kids on Track" program, which supports and sponsors a group of eight youngsters in various classes of racing, from carts to late models. The main focus of the group is to provide young racers with whatever they need to continue competing, in the event that their families can no longer afford to support them. Short term plans include the donation of a car to the program. Organizers anticipate upwards of 25 contestants, representing all three Allison Legacy groups in Texas. A first, second, and third place winner will be derived from a points system combining both races. A hard luck award will be given out, as well as a couple of randomly picked winners to assure that every racer will receive something for their efforts.
