Texas Pro Sedans race at Thunder Hill Raceway July 30th

 

Kyle, Texas

 

Saturday night, July 30 will mark the return of a popular touring series on the race Thunder Hill Raceway schedule. The Texas Pro Sedans will hold the seventh 2005 event in their 30th consecutive racing season at Kyle, Texas 3/8 mile asphalt oval. The event will be the fourth of eight TPS series races hosted by Thunder Hill Raceway during the 2005 racing season.

 

The Texas Pro Sedans racing format will consist of 2 Qualifying Heat Races at approximately 7:00pm followed by a 20 Lap Feature Race for the four cylinder Texas Pro Sedan series stock cars.

 

Many of drivers and cars who competed in the first six TPS races at tracks across Texas have filed their entry for the July 30th race at Thunder Hill Raceway. A field of 28 drivers are on record having filed their entry.

 

Included in the entry list are all drivers who have won the six TPS races during the 2005 season:

 

> Donnie Moore of Hutto was the most recent TPS race winner at C.C. Motor Speedway on July 9th.He will again be at the controls of the George Merrell #70 VW Scirocco in which he won the first and last race of the TPS season at C.C. Motor Speedway on April 9th and July 9 and the most recent TPS race held at Thunder Hill Raceway on June 18th.

 

> Sergio Hexsel of San Antonio scored his first TPS Feature Race at Thunder Hill Raceway on May 28. He returns to the Kyle 3/8th mile track for the July 30th TPS race.

 

> Jesse Sandoval of Corpus Christi won the third race of the TPS season at San Antonio Speedway on May 14. He may bring his race winning #7 Ford Pinto to Thunder Hill Raceway on July 30th.

 

> Jack Dishman of Devine, Texas may drive his #2 Ford Mustang. His last TPS victory came at Thunder Hill Raceway on May 7th in his Ford Mustang.

 

Both Dishman and Sandoval won their races in rear wheel drive Fords using an enlarged restrictor plate in compliance with TPS rules. Moore and Hexsel won their races in front wheel drive VW’s.

 

A full racing program of Thunder Hill Raceway Late Model, Hobby Stock, Street Stock, Grand Stock and the Allison Legacy and Mini Cup series cars are scheduled to compete on July 30th at the 3/8 mile asphalt Thunder Hill Raceway, D shaped oval in Kyle, Texas.
