Austin Wayne Self Pre-Race Quotes:

On Daytona International Speedway: “I’m looking forward to Friday night’s race. The entire AM Racing team led by Ryan (Salomon, crew chief) has worked incredibly hard to make sure we can come to Daytona and contend for the win. I’ve always enjoyed competing at Daytona and it’s the site of my best finish in Trucks in 2017 and would like nothing more to repeat that second-place finish or even better it with a win with our No. 32 AIRBOX Air Purifiers | AM Technical Solutions Chevrolet Silverado.”

On 2022 Season Outlook: “I really think we impressed a lot of people with our consistency last year. We were very solid and ended the year with the most top-10 finishes in our team’s history. Our success was because of the hard work of everyone on this AM Racing team. Even though we didn’t end the 2021 season on a high note, our team was extremely motivated to get back to the shop and start working on 2022. Without question, I think we can not only keep up the consistency but collect even more top-10 finishes in 2022.”

On Crew Chief Ryan Salomon: “Super stoked to work with Ryan again this season. He brought a new direction to our team at the start of the 2021 season and his leadership throughout the season guided us to one of our best seasons yet. He has worked hard to continue to elevate our AM Racing team and I’m excited to see his hard work pay off on the track in 2022.”
