NeilTPS Posted June 12, 2005 Report Share Posted June 12, 2005 It’s Mechanics and Mods race at I-37 on June 17th Pleasanton, Texas - Another crowd pleasing novelty event is on tap this week at I-37 Speedway. The crew persons who usually turn wrenches will instead turn steering wheels of their race cars and will be featured in a "Mechanics Race” on Friday night June 17. The June 17th racing program will feature: the “Mechanics Race”… The IMCA Modifieds…who will be the featured race of the night IMCA Southern Sports Modifieds … Limited Late Models… Street Stocks… Pure Stocks… The IMCA Modifieds will be competing for 2005 IMCA National Points. Heat and Feature Races will be held for all classes except “Mechanics Race”.. Gates will open at 4pm. The racing program will begin Friday, June 17 at 8:30pm. I-37 Speedway is a quarter mile oval dirt track located on the east side I-37 exactly 30 miles south of the Interstate 37 and Loop 410 interchange. Racing fans from San Antonio, Corpus Christi and other South Texas areas should take Interstate 37 to exit #104 (Leal Road) then proceed south on the east frontage road to I-37 Speedway.
