Austin Wayne Self Pre-Race Quotes on Las Vegas (Nev.) Motor Speedway: “I always enjoy competing at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. I’ve had several good performances there even if we don’t necessarily have the finishes to show for that. We’re bringing the truck that we ran in the top-10 with last fall at Texas Motor Speedway and Ryan did a great job with the setup and working on the truck throughout the race. I’m excited to see what we can do with this truck on Friday night.”

On Daytona (Fla.) international Speedway RC Finish: “Man, what an up and down night for our AM Racing team. I’m really proud of everything that we overcame. Everyone did a great job and we had a fast truck and even finished fourth in Stage 2. Near the end of the race, it became very hectic and I got booted twice which forced us to come from the back of the field both times. We managed to go from 29th to 15th in that final sprint to the finish. Even though it wasn’t a top-10, I think we showed everyone we have a lot of speed in our trucks and that we’re going to be contenders throughout the year. I’m looking forward to Las Vegas.”

On 2021 Season After Two Races: “I’m really proud of my AM Racing team. I know it has only been two races so far in 2021, but I think we have shown that we have it what it takes to be contenders this season. We showed speed in our trucks at Daytona and on the Road Course of Daytona. It’s going to be important to continue to showcase our ability this weekend at Las Vegas. I would love to leave Las Vegas on Friday night with a top-10 finish and a positive outlook to Atlanta Motor Speedway in a few weeks.”
