ShortyD Posted July 8, 2019 Report Share Posted July 8, 2019 I am searching for any information I can find on Shorty Dillard. I know he raced at the Abilene Speedway in the early 50's. I found this newspaper clipping from May 1952. And we have 1 picture of him standing next to a car he raced. Wasn't painted yet and I don't know the number he drove. I was a very young child but I remember he was friends with Clyde Johnson who also raced in Abilene. I also remember a story of him dressing in a wig and dress for the Powder Puff Derby and won but of course was disqualified lol.
