Sprint Car Bandits ‘Air Performance 35 presented by BRODIX Inc.’ at Superbowl  Speedway Sat. June 9th

Mesquite, TX (05/16/18) - The 360C.I. Sprint Car Bandits series is pleased to announce the Air Performance 35 presented by BRODIX Inc. at Superbowl Speedway near Greenville Texas on Saturday, June 9th.

This unique event will reward the winning driver a minimum of $2,000 to win, and possibly up to $2,800 to win. By the efforts of primary event sponsors Rodd Hanna’s Air Performance (Rockwall, TX) and BRODIX Inc. (Mena, AR), the feature race will be extended from 25 laps to 35. At the time of writing, a minimum of $2,150 added cash will be paid out in bonus money on June 9th!

Here’s how the bonus money for the Air Performance 35 presented by BRODIX will work:

- After the completion of lap 25, there will be lap money paid out to the race leader in the amount of $50/lap for laps 26-28, and lap 30.
- Lap 29 will pay the feature race leader $200 from Air Performance (Rodd’s car number)
- Laps 31-34 will pay each lap leader $100/lap.
- Lap 35 will pay the final lap leader $200 (in addition to the $1,800/win) for a total of $2,000 to win.
- IN ADDITION, Rodd Hanna is sponsoring $250 in the AIR PERFORMANCE ‘KEEP IT COOL’ Bonus. The recipient(s) of that special prize money will go to the driver that is running in the last place on the lead lap for every lap 26-35 and will be paid in the amount of $25 per lap! (For example, let’s say that all 20 cars finish on the lead lap and you were in last the final 10 laps, you’ll receive $550 for 20th instead of $300.)

Translated, at this exact moment, if you lead laps 26 through 35,  you’ll be taking home a cool $2,800 cash! We will post new lap sponsors or added awards as they become known.

The 35-lap feature pays down generously to $300 to start (see below for complete breakdown). All non-qualifiers or non-starters will each receive $100. There is no entry fee, no series membership fee and just a $15 nightly draw fee.

Superbowl Speedway is located at 437 FM 1903 Greenville, TX and is quite easy to get to. Take the 'FM 1903' exit off of I-30 (exit 87, about 45 miles from downtown Dallas), then head east 3 miles and you will run into the track. The main entrance is first and is for race fans going to the stands. The second exit off of corner 4 is for the pit entrance.

On race day, the track phone number is (903) 883-2504 or click http://www.facebook.com/superbowlspeedway for the track Facebook page. The first green flag on Saturday June 9th is slated for 8pm.Superbowl Speedway divisions will round out the full night of racing.

35-lap SCB feature race base payback for Saturday, June 9th: $1,800 (includes $600 cash from BRODIX…plus $200 from Air Performance for leading lap 35, technically making it $2,000 to win), $1,000 (including $200 from Air Performance), $600, $500, $400, $390, $380, $370, $360, $350, $340, $330, $320, $310, $300, $300, $300, $300, $300, $300. $100 for non-qualifiers or non-starters. No entry fee or series membership fee; $15 draw-in fee.

As a reminder, all sprint car teams that sign in will draw for heat race starting positions, regardless of their engine C.I. displacement (maximum 360) and will receive passing points to determine their straight-up from points feature race starting position. All drivers make sure to read/adhere to the posted rules at the series website prior to heading to the track.

The SCB series has a unique rules package that allows teams to use their current equipment (especially in the engine compartment), yet curbing nightly tire expense...which helps equalize the competition, with teams of varying budget sizes. That rules package certainly has the vote of many of the drivers in the region, as thus far, 65 have competed with the series in the first five events of 2018. Series rules are posted at the link above and will be followed at each SCB event, so make sure your car is compliant before arriving at the track.

Between the lower operating cost of the SCB series and the addition of sponsor funds into nightly purses, it is allowing more area race tracks to book events - which all translates into DFW area fans getting to see quality sprint car race at a lower grandstand ticket price. When you combine those components with lower nightly competitor operating purses, it all equals one thing: the new Sprint Car Bandits series!
