Kilgore, TX (03/26/18) - LoneStar Speedway (LSS) near Kilgore Texas is pleased to announce the 2nd Annual COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) Bunny Hop 40 Super Late Model Spring Nationals, presented by Lucas Oil. 

The event will take place on Easter Weekend, THIS Saturday night, March 31st at 7pm. This marks the third time the Series will invade the high-banked 1/3 mile clay oval. 

A giant Easter Egg Hunt will take place, when time allows, either just before or after hot laps, so adults with kids should plan on being there by 6:30pm to take part. The Easter Bunny will also be at LoneStar, so fans of all ages can grab selfies and family pics, so don’t miss out on this added Easter weekend family-fun component! 

BUNNY BONUS! For this event we’re bringing back our popular FAMILY PASS, where two adults plus up to four kids (ages 11 and under) can get in for just $40…a savings of potentially $20! Adult grandstand general admission (ages 12-64) to this massive event is just $20. Ages 6-11 are $5, while ages 65+ and military will be $15. All pit passes for all ages are $35. All tickets are only available on race day at the ticket window upon your arrival. Cash or credit/debit cards are accepted.

The 40-lap CCSDS championship event March 31st will attract the top Super Late Model teams from a 6-state region, as the feature event pays $3,110 to win and $450 just to take the green flag; plus there are cash awards of $100 each, for Fast Time, the feature race Hard Charger and the Hard Luck driver. 

The full-blown Super Late Models are just part of a jam-packed night of racing, as the LoneStar Speedway points season resumes, with the high-powered Modifieds racing for $1,200 to win, $700 to win for the first Limited Modified driver to cross the checkers, $500 to the winner of the Factory Stock feature; with $200 to win the Front Wheel Drive 4-Cylinders that round out the 5-division racing card. 

For fans not familiar with the CCSDS, it is based out of Beebe Arkansas, with Chris Ellis at the helm. Chris states: "It is our goal to provide quality regional late model racing to the fans and tracks of the mid-south. In doing so, we will provide mid-south promoters an affordable series which is financially attractive to the racers, fans, and the tracks." 

The CCSDS is essentially aligned with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) rules, which are why they are considered 'Super Late Models,' with 400+C.I. engines. This rules alignment also allows them to co-sanction with the LOLMDS series on occasion - when they are in the area. 

You can expect to see a full pit area of great racers at LoneStar Speedway on March 31st. Kyle Beard and Timothy Culp, both from Arkansas took home the CCSDS wins at LoneStar in 2017. 

Plus, drivers such as Jack Sullivan (2017 series champion), Garrett Alberson, BJ Robinson, Zach McMillan, Tanner Kellick, Robert Baker, Gavin Landers, Kyle Beard, Jon Mitchell, Chandler Petty, Brandon Wilson, Hunter Rasdon, David Payne, Charlie Cole, Trey Beene, Joe Gorby, Ronnie Adams, Wendell Wallace, Robbie Moore, Travis Ashley, Jake Davis, Austin Theiss and Joseph Long are expected.

Racing action fires off Saturday March 31st at 7PM. The Pit Gate will open by 3pm, while the main grandstand area will open by 5pm. The driver's draw cut-off for heat races is 6pm, with a driver's meeting set for 6:15pm. Track packing and Hot laps are slated for 6:30pm, then CCSDS Time Trials & racing to follow immediately.
