FIRST-EVER NCRA SPRINT CAR BANDITS EVENT at ROSE BOWL SPEEDWAY - SAT. AUG. 12th!

Winona, TX (07/28/17) - Officials from the Rose Bowl Speedway (RBS) and the NCRA Sprint Car Bandits (SCB) series presented by Blaine's Motor Supply are pleased to announce a big night of Sprint Car racing, set for Saturday August 12th at 7pm.

An excellent competitor purse of $2,000 to win and $300 to start is in place. Joining the 360 C.I. fuel injected winged Sprint Cars will be the RBS racing divisions: Hot Stocks, Factory Stocks, FW & RW Drive 4-Cylinders, plus Limited Modifieds.

Fans can expect a great field of top Sprint Car teams from throughout the region, with drivers such as: Justin Melton, Zane Lawrence, Michael Lang, Colby Estes, Michelle Melton, Tucker Doughty, Chance McCrary, Junior Jenkins, Chase Parson, Cody Stacy, Brad Welborn, Chad Wilson, Steve McMackin, Brad Queen, Claud Estes III, Dalton Stevens, Dustin Gates, Gary Floyd, DJ Estes...plus several more 'invaders' will round out the field, as there are no other 360C.I. sprint car events within 200 miles of RBS on August 12th.

Since this is the first SCB event at RBS, it is important for area sprint car drivers to be aware of the SCB rules, and how simple it is to participate in the series. So here are some quick, top-line notes:

- There is no Series license, registration or entry fee due from sprint car teams to the SCB.

- Car rules are very similar to your existing area 360C.I. sprint rules. However the Series does have very strict wing angle rules and rear tire rules, which are all posted at the series site. All SCB rules will be enforced, so drivers need to read the posted rules prior to arriving at the track.

- All sprint cars 360C.I. and under must abide by all SCB posted rules - especially regarding wing angle rules, rear tire rules and weight rules. In turn, all sprint cars participating that are 360C.I. and under will be treated the same regarding draw in, line ups, payback; etc.

- We recommend that drivers new to the SCB for this event contact the series director, Steve Lang, prior to race day simply as a 411 and to field any questions you may have.

SPRINT CAR BANDITS A-FEATURE PAYBACK (25 Laps): $2,000 - 1,000 - 600 - 500 - 400 (5th) - 390 - 380 - 370 - 360 - 350 (10th) - 340 - 330 - 320 - 310 - 300...to start! All NQ or Non-Starters receive $100. Standard SCB rules and procedures are in effect. Click www.SprintCarBandits.com for all series rules - which will be enforced, as always. There is a $15 draw fee due at sign in. No entry fee or membership fee. Any SCB non-qualifier or non-starter will receive $100.

Rose Bowl Speedway's address is 18151 FM 1252 W. Winona, Texas, TX 75792. The track phone is 903-326-DIRT. Take exit 571B off of I-20 (either direction), then head East on the I-20 Frontage Road (on the south side of I-20) for about 2 miles until you come to a stop sign (Brooks Lane, CR 3100). Turn north (left) at the stop sign and head north about 1/4 mile and the track entrance will be just slightly to the west/left. To connect with RBS online for additional track information, click www. etxrosebowl.com or go to Facebook and search 'Rose Bowl Speedway.'

General Adult grandstand admission is $15, with kids 6-11 $5, ages 5 and under free. Seniors, Military and 1st Responders are $7. The Pit Area opens at 4pm, Grandstands at 5pm, Draw closes at 5:45 and Racing at 7pm.

With each SCB sponsor announcement, the series can continue to implement one of its primary missions, and that is adding to the already excellent competitor purses.

Sprint car teams in the area are quickly figuring out that between the Sprint Car Bandits (SCB) restricted wing angle rule and rear tire rules that they are able to be in more control of 'driving' their cars - while saving a lot of money on tire expense.

2016 SCB runner-up in series points, Junior Jenkins comments: "We are a budget conscious team, and since we started racing with the Sprint Car Bandits at the beginning of last year, we have noticed a sizable difference in our net nightly cost vs. earnings, and it has helped keep us on the track. Plus I feel it has substantially closed the gap in the competition, giving more drivers a fighting chance."

That rules package certainly has the vote of many of the drivers in 2017, as 49 teams have already competed in the SCB in the first four events of the season (there have been four rainouts as well).

Between the lower operating cost of the SCB series and the addition of sponsor funds into nightly purses, it is allowing more area race tracks to book events - which all translates into fans getting to see quality 360 C.I. sprint car race at a lower grandstand ticket price.

When you combine those components with lower nightly competitor operating purses, it all equals one thing: the new Sprint Car Bandits series!

As of 7/29/17, here are the remaining SCB events scheduled for 2017:

7-29-17 Golden Triangle Speedway, Beaumont, TX (Saturday) $2,000/win and $350/start
