TSRS Night at the Races to give military free and half-priced admissions

 

(Austin) The Texas Super Racing Series will hold a double-points night of racing this Friday night, May 30th at Thunder Hill Raceway.

 

To honor all of the men and women of the military who work so hard to defend our country's freedom, TSRS officials have announced the following discounts for all military personnel. Any military personnel who attend the race dressed in their uniforms will be admitted free of charge. That's right - show up in your military uniform and enter the exciting night of races absolutely free! For those military personnel who are not dressed in their uniform but show a military ID, they will be admitted for half-price. The Texas Super Racing Series is doing this to thank all of the fine men and women who serve our country with dignity and honor.

 

TSRS drivers will run a 100-lap feature on Friday night at THR. There will also be kids' bike races and an exhibition by cars from THR's Street Stock Class. Kids can then ride with one of the auto-racing drivers around the track after the night of racing is completed during the "Kiddie Ride" segment.

1:00 - TSRS Practice starts - concession opens with great food

5 00 - Gates to grandstands open

5:00 - Grandstand Concession Opens!

5:15 - TSRS Officials Meeting (garage area)

5:45 - TSRS Drivers Meeting - Mandatory (garage area)

7:00 - TSRS Time Trials begin

 

**Kids bikes races (4 groups - Kids will be ready to go onto the track as soon as the last car has timed, sign up @ grandstand gate & kids bikes in designated "kiddy pit area"! (helmets required)

** All Street Stock drivers into grandstands as guest in their fire suits to do autographs & help promote Saturdays big event! Those 4 drivers that supplied the celebrities put on a 5-lap demonstration race promoting Saturday, May 31st event.

**Opening Ceremony & Driver/crew introductions; Grand Marshals TSRS Feature, 100 laps (first 90 cautions count, last 10 green) TSRS Double Points!

**Demo Derby Drivers Meeting-Mandatory (garage) Demolition Derby! $1000.00 to win, $500.00 for 2nd & $250.00 for 3rd!

**Street Stocks - Kiddie-Rides! (1 ride per child-tickets given out during the racing event & release signed.

**Track closed & clean-up starts (to be completed by 10:00 AM Saturday) Camping available in parking lot! (Cars racing in THR LLM on Saturday can leave their cars in the pit area overnight).
