Austin Wayne Self Visits the Blue Grass State for NASCAR’s Thursday Night Return

“I’m really looking forward to getting back to Kentucky and running on the new surface,” said Self. “Although this will be my first time at Kentucky in the Truck Series, I’ve run quite a few laps there in ARCA. It’s always been a fast track with a lot of character. It will be interesting to see how the new surface changes things up – I’m expecting a fast track with tons of grip.”

Nearing the official half-way point to the NCWTS season, Self and his No. 22 AM Technical Solutions Toyota team, are dedicated to improving on and off the track during their freshman year season of Truck racing.

“It’s a long season – we’ve had our share of up and down moments, but our team continues to make strides in the right direction. This team continues to do whatever it takes to put a strong Toyota under me each and every week.”

"After a brief break for the holiday weekend, we are all excited for Austin and the No. 22 team to get back into competition. This race will certainly give Austin a fresh start after a late race accident and disappointing finish at Gateway, and we know that the entire team is learning and keeping a positive outlook,” says Dan Codi, CEO of AM Technical Solutions. We are proud to be supporting our partners at the Soldiers For Faith ministry in Kentucky this weekend. Kelly McAndrew – CEO of Soldiers For Faith and Chairman of the Board for AM Technical Solutions - will be joining Chad Mattson, from the Christian band Unspoken, who will be singing the National Anthem for the truck race,” finishes Codi.

Austin Wayne Self currently occupies the 19th spot in the overall driver point standings. After 9 of 23 NCWTS events, Self carries a 23.0 average starting position to go along with a 20.6 average finishing spot.
