racecar25
I am getting a new computer built but I am looking for opinions as far as processors for ALL the papyrus racing games. What do you other sim racers have as a system as far as processors and how good is your framerate? p4 or athlon 64 3000+ thanks for your input. calvin hadden

DVeit
If it were me, I would get the AMD 64 without a doubt. But thats just me. And if you have the money, Go for the AMD 64 939 socket. I have a AMD Athlon XP 2000+ with 512 mb ram, and a GeForce 6600 GT. I get 100+ frames in Nascar 2003 with everything maxed. But ive been playing Nascar Sim racing now and in it I get 40-85 depending on what track.
Levi
how much does the AMD 64 939 socket cost?
DVeit
You can get a ASUS AMD Athlon 64 939 mobo with a AMD Athlon 64 3200 CPU and fan for 300$. Thats for the ASUS brand (the one I would get if I was going to spend the money.) You can get the same thing but a Gigabyte brand for 255$. If it were me I would spend the extra 45$. Or if you dont want or think you need the 3200 you can get an ASUS 3000 for 256$.
