Smokin' Armadillo
I've also got a '90 mustang with the 2.3 L. It is always, ALWAYS hard to start. It'll crank for several seconds, after maybe 10-15 seconds it'll start. And when I put it in gear, even if I let it warm up, it wants to (and about half the time actually does) stall. This car has also started to use more gas than normal...I can normally stretch it out to 30 mpg, but its been down some lately with the same type of driving (tire pressure good). Anyhoo...I drive alot and I need one of my two cars to be working reliably! Any help is appreciated! Thanks, Robert
SeanAugustus
Robert, Here are some things to check for ya. 1.Test Battery 2.Test Fuel Pump 3. TPS Sensor 4. Change the Fuel Filter 5. Fuel pressure regulator. Try some of these and let me know if it fixes the problem sean
Smokin' Armadillo
Thanks Sean, I'll try those suggestions out and see what happens...for both cars! Oh, the mercury idles rough in gear, not so much in park/neutral. No miss fire either, unless its just really close and just can't tell...we'll see. Again, thanks!
