Dwarf cars sneak in 2 heat races at rained-out Central Texas Speedway

DCRST SNEAKS IN 2 HEAT RACES AT CTS

 

Kyle, TX (May 24, 2015) - Dwarf Car Racing Series of Texas (DCRST) drivers knew last weekend at Central Texas Speedway would be a challenge with days of rain saturating the speedway grounds. Regardless, the teams made their way to Kyle, TX hoping to get a third race in on the 2015 Wild Side Tour.

Friday evening proved that the weather folks can be wrong and Saturday morning looked good even allowing the series to get one practice session in the early afternoon until the skies opened up around 2PM (CST).

The Central Texas Speedway team worked for over 2 hours to dry the track and DCRST received word around 5:15PM to head to the cars for heat races made it to the track for the only races of the program before lightning and more rain ended the program in last half of the second DCRST heat race. Heat results are posted below and updated point standings are available at www.DCRST.com. Points will be rewarded from these events at Kyle.

The next event is set for May 30 at Corpus Christi Speedway (TX) but that event could be in jeopardy with recent flooding and rain chance percentages along the Texas coastline.
