Houston Motorsports Park set for Patriot Motor Company Night this Saturday, May 2

Houston, TX (April 28, 2015) – The weather looks great, the car counts should be great and race fans can anticipate an outstanding night of Texas-style NASCAR stock car racing this Saturday at the state-of-the-art 3/8-mile oval located in Northeast Houston.

“The Palace of Power” will feature the fire-breathing, low-slung NASCAR Modifieds, highly competitive NASCAR Coke Truck and the up-and-coming Calico Coatings Stock Cars along with the always fun-to-watch Dwarf Cars, rough-and-tumble EcoStocks and the newly re-launched Lone Star Legacy Series.

In addition, the Brad Boyuer Band will be entertaining the crowd starting at 6 pm with some beautiful Texas ballads and some really rocking' tunes from his latest release, “Montagu Hotel.”

“We want to give our fans more entertainment for their buck,” said HMP’s Chairman of the Board Tracy Trotter. “And this outstanding band is worth the price of admission all by itself. Add a full night of exciting NASCAR stock car racing under the lights and we’re talking some serious entertainment at a very reasonable cost.”

“And once you realize that beer, cokes and hot dogs are all only $1 and that kids 12 and under are admitted free, the value for the whole family gets even better,” Trotter added.

In addition to the already-substantial regular purse money, Ashwood Homes will be paying a double purse to the Ashwood Homes Eco Stocks, the Calico Coatings Pro Stocks will be receiving an extra $1,000 to the highest finisher running on dirt tires rather than the usual asphalt tires, and the Patriot Motor Company Modifieds will be competing for an added $500 to the race winner and an extra $50-to-start in addition to the regular Modified purse.

With all this extra money on the line, you can expect some heated on-track battles.

The front gates open at 5 pm and Brad Boyuer will come on stage at 6 pm with the NASCAR-sanctioned racing action to start shortly thereafter.

Adult admission is $12 at the front gate with $5 parking.

The park-like Houston Motorsports Park grounds are located inside Beltway 8 at 11620 North Lake Houston Parkway.
