'For the Love of Alex' $1,300/win LIMITED MODIFIEDS - LoneStar Speedway SUNDAY MAY 10th!

 

Kilgore, TX (1/20/15) - This Mother's Day will be extra special, as once the brunches and special dinners have concluded, the day of fun will continue, as LoneStar Speedway will be hosting a special racing event, the $1,300 to win Limnited Modifieds 'For the Love of Alex Stop Texting and Driving Spectacular.' A special 'Twilight' starting time of 5pm is set.

 

Once again, Trisha and Robert Taylor have stepped up to help raise awareness of the dangers of texting and driving, combined with a long list of sponsors they are assembling, raising the competitor purse in the Limited Modified division as well.

 

On April 26, 2010 Trisha and Robert Taylor received the call that forever changed their lives, as their daughter Alex had been in an accident and was being taken by air flight to East Texas Medical Center, and would not survive her injuries. The accident was attributed to texting and driving.

Robert is veteran LoneStar Speedway driver, along with his wife Trisha, continue to help raise awareness of the dangers of texting and driving, at their Facebook page titled For the love of Alex Stop Texting and Driving. It will be a point’s race for all LoneStar divisions, and will pay $1,000 to win and $100 to start for Modifieds, and $300 to win and $40 to start for Factory Stocks. The full purse breakdown will be posted as the additional sponsorships are finalized, well before race day.

 

There are no competitor entry fees in any division.

As in every 2015 LoneStar point’s night events, non-qualifier money will be paid in all three divisions: $50 for Modifieds, $30 for Limited Modifieds and $20 for Factory Stocks. There is no entry fee in any race divisions; all pit passes are $30.

 

PLUS! It's Mother's Day, so we're having a general grandstand admission promotion, where all mothers can get in to watch the racing event for just $5! All other Adult tickets will be $12 (ages 12-64), while Seniors/Active Military are $10, Kids (ages 6-11) are $5, and youngsters ages 5 and under are free with Adult admission. All pit passes for all ages will be $30.

 

Fans can expect a great field of drivers from throughout the region competing in the event, as there are currently no other known tracks racing that day.
