hardheadted
I know this isn't technically Texas racing news but since i'm here I thought I'd share this. I watched this man racing in the late 60's at BIR in Birmingham, Al every friday night.. He was my favorite then and is still a living legend to me. At 82 he is still going strong and racing as much as possible. I sincerely hope I can do at least half as much when I'm his age... And yes, this is current.. http://flomatonspeedway.com/
liljoe0804
We should try to setup a Graham Baker/Red Farmer head to head AMCAR race at HMP. That would be a hoot.
hardheadted
That would be great. Red had many a friday night races against Jody Ridley from N. Ga. At times it seemed there were only those two on the track!!

hardheadted
I can see the banner now, " Tonight, 100 yrs of racing history on the track, going fender to fender, tires screeching, engines roaring, fans screaming and all for these "2" great drivers!! Over 100 yrs of experience between them, one on one, who will take the checkered flag!! Red Farmer, from the old Alabama Gang 82 yrs old and Graham Baker, Texas racing history legend ? yrs old, showing the young guns how to do it!!! Wow, wouldn't that be a race night!!!
