On any stock car running a conventional set up, I have always spent time discovering what springs the car needs using 50-50 shocks all around before investing in a set of custom designed shocks. I know this is old school, but a great set of shocks can mask imbalances in the handling since they are so effective.


So, get the springs right, then add the custom shocks to add another 2 or 3 tenths to your laps times.
