Jones41
I know bias and shut off have to be out of reach of driver is what I understand.
Danielsen Motorsports
You can have both but can not be in reach of driver and if they are you must cover them so its evident to tech man you are not adjusting them while racing.
ks2290
We built a box out of alum. and use pop rivets to hold it in place something quick and easy to adjust between races if needed.
MR81
Redrocket77 is not a shoot out car, but a local racer so does that mean he has to change his set up for one race. I personally don't think he should have to, but he should be welcomed to race his local track to up car count
Danielsen Motorsports
The local track uses shootout rules for 2014. So yes he should have been doing this already. Rules are very clear on this particular topic.
Danielsen Motorsports
The whole purpose for tracks to adopt shootout rules for 2014 was to keep local drivers from having to change anything if they decided to defend their home track when shootout comes. ks2290
So he's been running illegal all this time?
cooter48c
I have a question, I haven't read all the rules, but I know this car is running the big tire, small motor package. Does that affect the brake valve ruling or is the bias and right front shut off the same for all cars in street stock?
Danielsen Motorsports
I have not seen it, nor has our techman seen it. So I cant answer what is illegal and what isnt without seeing it instead of reading about it. Brake rules are very straight fwd no matter if your a full time shootout driver or a local street stock. What engine package a driver decides to run only effects what wheels and tires. The remaining rules outside engine package, wheels and tires are all the same for everyone. justramit
Actually the rules state no proportioning valve in reach of driver. Says nothing about shut off technically. I personally have no dog in this fight because I have neither on my car.
Danielsen Motorsports
It says you have to have at least 3 breaks how you go about that is how you go about that.
