The Monday December 20, 2004 edition of DIRT NATION presented by Switchme.net will be jam-packed with championship dirt Late Model drivers and a look at one of the sport’s top chassis manufacturers. Spotlighted on Monday night will be Rocket Chassis and on hand will be Rocket Chassis co-owners Mark Richards and Steve Baker. Formed in 1986, Mark Richards Racing Enterprises started as a dealer of Bullitt Chassis. In 1991, they began building their own chassis design, which they dubbed “Rocket”. Among the 2004 series champions that used Rocket Chassis include Earl Pearson, Jr. (Stacker 2 XDCS), Robbie Blair (MACS), Steve Kosiski (TORA), Rob Toland (Deery Bros.), Shane Tankersly (O’Reilly SAS), Steve Drake (California Clash), Allen Vaughn (O’Reilly MLRA), Rick Isadore (ULMS), Kelly Boen (WDRA) and many others including dozens of track champions.

 

Steve Drake of San Luis Obispo, CA, hot off a championship season by winning the California Clash title, will be making his first appearance on DIRT NATION. Drake also scored top honors in the 2004 Southwesternstockcar Western Top 30 Rankings. Drake drives the Drake Farming Farms, San Luis Truck Parts sponsored Rocket Chassis #11x.

 

Also appearing will be Dale ‘MacDaddy’ McDowell, of Chickamauga, GA, a popular dirt Late Model driver has made his mark driving the Petroff Towing, J&J Steel, New Vision Graphic, Larry Shaw Rocket/ Racetek Grand Prix #17m. During 2004 competed as a member of the famed ‘Dirty Dozen’ World of Outlaw Late Model Series.

 

Chub ‘Chubzilla’ Frank of Bear Lake, PA is also a member of the ‘Dirty Dozen’ on the World of Outlaw Late Model Series tour will also be making an appearance. Chubzilla, a four-time Renegade Dirt Car Series (RDCS) champion, drives the Lester Buildings, Allstar Performance, Corry Rubber, Slavic Custom T-Shirts, Rocket Chassis Monte Carlo #1*
