While they have enjoyed the racing action over the years, this season Derek Scott and his family will have a more personal connection to the races at Central Texas Speedway. Derek’s 14-year-old son, Derek Jr., will be competing in the 2014 season’s Pro Late Model class.When asked about his race sponsorship Derek said, “ I want to drive some more excitement to the track by having my employees involved in the action as well as my own friends and little Derek’s friends and fans.”Derek Scott’s Auto Park Night at the Races will feature over 275 laps of high speed racing action highlighted by the Pro Late Models, Magnum Trailers & Wild Child Motorsports’ Pro Modifieds, Trucks, TALMS Limited Modifieds and Super Street Stocks and the Texas Pro Sedans.March 29th will mark the beginning of the second season for the TALMS Series, which has quickly become the, “fastest growing limited modified series in Texas” according to series director Cody Beddoe. In 2013 TALMS brought the largest car count of limited modifieds to each track that they raced at. According to Beddoe, “TALMS is going to have the tightest, most exciting racing Texas asphalt has seen in years.
