Sunday dad wasn't feeling well so mom took him to the hospital. 9 liters of fluids removed from his body and determined one side of the heart was 90% blocked and the other was 100%. So this morning a triple bypass for him. Thankful for a healing god, steady hands from the surgeons and the power of prayer. Hopefully wake him up tomorrow and see him. sm44 Posted February 20, 2014 Report Share Posted February 20, 2014 Nick I totally missed this post, thank you and all my racing friends for the prayers. Remarkably dad the surgery on Friday, was brought out of anesthesia on sat and sent home on Tuesday! No rehab or complications! My dad has worked all his life, smoked 3 packs a day and drank more than his fair share. At 72 the docs say it was amazing...i say it was the hand of God. He has a long road ahead of him with out the cigs and booze but so far so good. Thanks for all the text,calls and prayers.
