A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church in Axtell at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 17, 2013. Junior was born in Axtell, Texas, to Rochel and Bessie (Allen) Ingram. Junior married Alice Desmuke on September 7, 1957. She preceded him in death on September 4, 1984. Junior worked as an auto-parts buyer and reseller for most of his life. He began auto racing in 1962 at the Heart-of-Texas Speedway and continued his hobby for 43 years, winning numerous trophies, titles, and accolades along the way. Junior was inducted into the Speedway’s Wall of Fame in 2011. Survivors include his daughters, Sharron and husband Todd Hamilton of China Springs, Donna and husband Larry McGoldrick of West, Linda and Husband Mark Schneider of Lorena, grandchildren, Stephen Ingram and wife Stephanie, Ashley Garrett, Chase Jupe and wife Tamara, Amanda Payne and husband Michael, Blake Hamilton and wife Brandy, and Kayla McGoldrick, and 2 great-granddaughters, RaeAnn and Ashtyn Ingram.
