Series drivers and officials will be signing autographs, posing for pictures, distributing tickets to the race, and assisting children with various race car art projects during their one hour visit. The Texas Super Racing Series is donating tickets so that more than one hundred patients and their families from the Texas Children's Hospital Cancer Center will be the special guests for this year's Space City 125 at Houston Motorsports Park. "When Brad (Hudak) told me Texas Children's Hospital was included this year with the Space City 125, I just felt moved that this was a part of this race that I needed to be involved in. I know when my son gets sick I get really worried. I can't begin to fathom what it must be like to know your child is sick with something like cancer," said series driver Jeff Pollard. "For us to be able to go up there and hopefully make some of these kids smile and just to spend some time with them is something we are looking forward to doing. I just think this is a real opportunity for us to give something back." Family has been a cornerstone of Texas Super Racing Series. When series founder, Mary Ann Naumann, started the series her goal was to create a series where the atmosphere was a place for teams to compete as one racing family. Often times Naumann saw teams and officials show up for events, do their jobs and then go their separate ways without spending any real quality time together. "The Texas Super Racing Series family is looking forward to spending time with all the children and families at Texas Children's Hospital," said Naumann. "It will be a great time for everyone both Friday morning at the hospital and Saturday night at the track."
