An old Friend

THis was taken at the Alabama Auto Racing Pionner Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony yesterday.

 

For those who remember Freddy Fryar, Dave Mader, and Stanley Smith, they were all inducted this year, along with several other Southeast legends.

 

Freddy is second from the left on the front row, Dave Mader III is second from the right on the second row, and Stanley Smith is right over Freddy's shoulder, first from left in the second row.

 

Talked for awhile with Freddy and his son Marc Fryar at the Snowball; both are doing well. Freddy is building onto his shop in Missouri, ansd had a dirt Modified he plans to finish and play around with. at 77 years, he still looks great, takes care of himself, and is friendly as ever.
