NickHolt Posted January 11, 2003 Report Share Posted January 11, 2003 Sad news from Mary Ann Naumann: "Some very sad news, for anyone that has been in the racing world for 25 or more years, you must all know Llew Askew, I am so sorry to have to pass along to you that he has passed away this morning! He has cleaned a many of race incidents and been there for each of us or one of our loved ones a time or two. We will keep you updated to when his services are. We all wish his family our prayers and thoughts. Llew was a very good man that LOVED racing. He will be missed.. NickHolt Posted January 12, 2003 Author Report Share Posted January 12, 2003 Apparently Llew had a major heart attack. According to Mary Ann Naumann the funeral will be on Thursday at Cook Walden Forest Oaks on Wm Cannon (Austin) at 2 p.m.. Viewing with the family is from 6 - 8 p.m. on Wednesday. Some of you may remember Llew from his days at Texas World Speedway helping out with the Texas Grand Prix and Texas Race of Champions events.
