NeilTPS Posted September 13, 2004 Report Share Posted September 13, 2004 Destruction Derby at I-37 Speedway – Friday Sept 17 Pleasanton, Texas - This Friday night, I-37 Speedway will feature a special novelty event on September 17 as the track will present an all time fan favorite – DESTRUCTION DERBY. Also, former TIDA Late Model Champion and current ROMCO Super Late Model driver John Kelly will headline a Celebrity Race which will include I-37 Speedway Promoter Joe Horne and Track Manager, Frank Torres & others to be announced. On Friday, September 17, Gates open at 4:00pm. The racing program starts at 8:30pm as I-37 Speedway will present: IMCA Modifieds…Limited Late Model…Pure Stock…Celebrity Race and for the first time and only 2004 season DESTRUCTION DERBY Heat and Feature Races will be held for each classification. I-37 Speedway is a quarter mile oval dirt track located on the east side I-37 exactly 30 miles south of the Interstate 37 and Loop 410 interchange. Racing fans from San Antonio, Corpus Christi and other South Texas areas should take exit # 104 (Leal Road) proceed south on the east frontage road and follow the signs to I-37 Speedway.
