NickHolt
Bob Sikes Skyrockets to feature win! IMCA Modifieds Twenty-one IMCA Modifieds were on hand to put on a feature show that was fast and exciting #6 Jeremy Wooley and #02 David Davis lead the field to the green flag. #101 Butch Reid made a quick charge to the front and was in second place by lap two , #02 David Davis slid back as #16 Bob Sikes was moving up through the field quickly, #4 and #84 spun on laps three and four making for two restarts back to back, On the second restart #16 Bob Sikes went under #6 Jeremy Wooley for the lead and the race progressed quickly after that. After slipping back to the eighth position, #21 Jimmy Breeding hit the high groove after several laps and was powering to the front one car right after another. #86 Brian Flowers went off the track and stalled bringing out another red flag and a restart. #21 Jimmy Breeding was in fourth on the restart and was in the high groove with lots of momentum and looking for second place when #6 Wooley had transmission trouble and stalled, #21 Breeding didn't see him stalled and ran into the back of Wooley with tremendous speed and considerable damage was done to #6 Wooley , and both drivers were ok. On the restart it was a good race between #16 Bob Sikes, #101 Butch Reid , #85 Neal Flowers, and #8 Ken Couch, but #49 Vince Ogle had found the groove Breeding had been running and moved up quickly to contend for the lead , with #16 Sikes driving the middle groove, and #49 Ogle fast on the outside, the race was intense and very fast with #16 Sikes holding on for the win.
