Sanford Electrical Services LLC has graciously added a $100 bonus for a first time winner in the Sportmod class at THR. Well done Bobby. :D Drivers not eligible for the bonus are (correct me if I'm wrong): Joe Aramendia Cody Beddoe Terry James Shawn Paul Lehman Johnny Lewellan Don Painter Jason Stanley David Umscheid Micheal Umscheid A short list with some very accomplished racers on it. Who will be the next Sportmod ace to add their name to this group? IMCA Southern Sportmod style rules apply with a few exceptions: No claims, 8" Goodyear allowed and recommended, small spot mirror allowed. $25 pit passes and no entry fee for the car. Open practice Friday July 27th. 4pm to 11pm Two controlled practices and race Saturday July 28th Races this year have been 20-25 laps. Madhouse restarts give everyone a chance. Talk to Jerry Spencer in the tire barn for tires. He usually has some pulloffs for purchase at a discounted rate. So knock that dirt off your cars guys and gals. Hell, if you want to, let it fall off on the track we're ok with that too. They have people to clean it up. "Rookie" Terry James caught her with his win at the last event. Her husband Tommy Gural can't stop winning lately and looks to have some of that winning spirit rub off on her. List updated. That will make for a payday of $570 for a first time winner from over 100 miles away! If more than 15 cars start then that payout will increase through the field. Great job Bobby. Running double duty in the Sportmods and Nascar Trucks, he has a busy raceday ahead of him. 5 Driver??? confirmed This car won the last event while being piloted by Terry James. Terry is tied for the points lead with Teresa Gural, but it is unclear if he is going to be racing this Saturday. Both of these entries are owned by Junior Medlock. Five of the nine winners in the history of this class have driven to victory lane in Junior's equipment. This is the team to beat. List updated. There is cheap admission, great food, BYOB, givaeawys during the races, 10 exciting classes to see, and a pit party after the races. Lots more. Check out ThunderhillRaceway.com for all the info. Your next chance to claim it is August 11th. 28 Shawn Paul Lehman and 5 Joe Aramendia had a great race right up to the end. Shawn Paul got to the checkers first but Joe Aramendia claimed the trophy in the tech barn. Teresa Gural reclaims her lead in the points and looks to extend the gap with two points races to go. Great racing guys. One heck of a show!!!
