South Texas Speedway Posted June 19, 2012 Report Share Posted June 19, 2012 Thank Nick and yes this is a great cause and we are proud to help every year. This Saturday is the 7th Annual Chance Brownlee Memorial Event at South Texas Speedway. This is a big benefit for the Shrine Hospital every year and we want to raise all the money for the Children that we can possibly raise. Thanks to Dar-Pro Construction for stepping up to the plate and putting forth some money to help the cause. Dar-Pro will be donating $400 to the Shrine in their's and STS's name. Then they will be adding $200 to the Limited Modified Purse and $200 to the Pure Stock Purse for this event but if the driver that wins that additional money chooses to donate the $200 to the Shrine then Dar-Pro will Match that $200 with an additional $200 so basically if the drivers donate their portion of the winnings then Dar-Pro will end up donating a total of $1200 to the Shrine Hospital for the Chance Brownlee Memorial, what a huge gesture of kindness from these great folks. I am excited about this and hope anyone else with a business that is willing to help the Children will get excited with me and donate to a great cause. The track will be donating a portion of the nights proceeds directly to the Shrine so I will let everyone know what that is once we see where we are at Saturday night. South Texas Speedway and its employee want to thank the fans and drivers for their donation. The Shriner's were very thankful and excited about the coming years. Without you the Fans and Drivers this would not have been so successful. Jaime and Owen are wonderful to keep this benefit going. They always give back to the community. They are the best.
