NickHolt Posted August 10, 2004 Report Share Posted August 10, 2004 For Immediate Release ALLSTAR RACE TRUCKS INVADE SAN ANTONIO SPEEDWAY By Pat Mayberry The Lone Star division of the nationwide AllStar Race Truck Series will be part of an exciting weekend for race fans this Saturday night at the legendary San Antonio Speedway. The high-banked, super fast half-mile speedway should offer Lone Star race fans quite a shootout, as two of the nations top eight drivers will be competing in this race. National series pointâ?Ts leader, Bryan Meredith will be joined by Jimmy Spillar, currently 8th in the country for this race. Other top twenty drivers who will be competing in this event are Chett Gehrke 11th, Keith Patrick 13th, Robert Walton 14th, Bill Hamilton 15th, and Larry Latham 16th in the overall national points chase. With only six races left in the 2004 season, these drivers will be letting it all hang out in an effort to secure their national rankings. Appearing with the AllStar Race Trucks this weekend are the stars of the Texas Super Racing Series and the ROMCO Super Late Model Series. The evening of racing is being sponsored by San Antonio based ROMCO Equipment Company. Tickets are only $20.00 general admission and $15.00 for seniors and military. Children 10 to 16 are $10.00 and children 9 and under are free. Gates open at 4:00PM with qualifying beginning at 5:00PM. Racing will start at 7:00PM.
