Kevin35251
With only 3 cars making the race for saturdays Texas Late Model Series, it was an ok show for the inagural event. Last I heard Kirby Caldwell had sold 7 cars but 3 are not built yet. Kelly Vinson has his ready but the car was in the paint shop. The three cars that did show up were Thomas Tucker #22 , James Southerland #7 , and Kirby Caldwell # 11. Thomas Tucker dominated all day with James Southerland following. Qualifying was amazing, If i remember right the last Romco race the pole was a 14.28, Thomas Tucker times in with a 14.27 and a 14.23, These cars are not going to be faster than Romco in the future because the track is way faster after the grinding. But the Texas Late models will be close,With only 350hp compared to 600hp. The race went good. Thomas Tucker dominated until the car became very loose thought to be cause by the brake bias settings. Kirby Caldwell and James Southerland had a good race going until James also got loose towards the end of the race and Kirby pulled away. The finishing order was 1.Thomas Tucker #22 2.Kirby Caldwell #11 3.James Southerland #
