The Women on Wheels (WOW) were first up to take a crack at the half-mile track. Three ladies were all prettied up in their racing attire and ready to take the green flag. Kelly Earnhardt started on the pole and quickly took the lead. The last person she wanted to see hot on her (high??) heels was last year's powder puff queen....Cindy Oates. Yet, that's exactly who she saw with Missy Jones falling into the third position. The yellow flag put in a brief appearance when Oates pushed it a little too hard and spun out with three laps remaining. When the checkered flag waved, it was Kelly Earnhardt all smiles in victory circle. Oates and Jones finished second and third respectively.

Twelve drivers exploded onto the scene for the Late Model feature event. For one of them....a win was just 40 laps away. James Cole, who got his first taste of victory the previous week, started in the third position AND you could bet he was absolutely famished for win #2. In front of him, on the front row were Mark Ackerman and Robert Barker. As the field came around to take the green flag, Larry Bendele and Jason Smith spun out. Both of them pitted and rejoined the pack. When racing got underway, Barker jumped into the lead. Danny Garcia was stout going from sixth to second in just two laps. With 10 laps in the book, the top five were Barker, Garcia, Cole, Wesley McGuffin and Smith. Cole was rocket fast and on Lap 16 blasted past Garcia and brought McGuffin with him. Two laps later, Bendele was forced to pit under green flag conditions due to a throttle linkage problem. The racing action was slowed when Ackerman spun out in two separate incidents. Cole, McGuffin, Garcia and Smith feasted their eyes on Barker's back bumper. With five laps left in the event, Cole got a good bite off of Turn 2 and slipped past Barker for the lead on the backstretch. When the checkered flag dropped, it was Cole licking his chops in victory circle with Barker, Garcia, Smith and Salazar next to cross the stripe. Unfortunately, McGuffin was black-flagged for loose sheet metal and lost one lap. Danny Garcia and Jason Smith are now tied for the lead in the points chase with 653 points.

The Road Runner 15 lap feature event was both fast and fantastic. Kelly Earnhardt led the field to the green flag followed by Roy Bernal, Randy Frautschi, Mark Mathias, Irish O'Leary and Greg Rohmer. On Lap 2, while leading, Earnhardt spun out on the frontstretch. When racing resumed, Frautschi was leading, but not for long as Mathias and Rohmer zoomed right past him. These two drivers were simply incredible. Rohmer tried every trick he could think of to get by Mathias. In the end, the checkered flag was so close yet so far away for Rohmer, as Mathias won by a mere fender's length. Frautschi, O'Leary and Earnhardt filled out the top five postions. Rohmer's second place finish bolted him into the points lead of this division.

Seventeen Sportsman racers thundered onto the track for their feature event. Their mission?? To be super fast, avoid all trouble and be the first one to the checkered flag. Charlie Earnhardt , George Reyes, Dwayne Markgraf, Craig Crawley, Vince Trietch and Tater Mason were the top six starters for this event. Earnhardt took the early lead with Reyes right in his tracks. Reyes took the top spot on Lap 3. Earnhardt lost it and spun out on two separate occasions, one being a solo and the other involved Mark Rahn. When green flag racing resumed, Mason and Justin Oates strutted their stuff all the way to the front of the pack on Lap 7. Oates was at the controls of one hot hot-rod and on Lap 11 pushed all the right buttons to get past Mason for the #1 position. Mason's night came to an end when his timing chain broke. When the checkered flag flew, it was mission accomplished for Oates as he took his 8th feature win of the season. The next contenders to cross the finish line were Tom Casey, Kenny Hurley, Eric Knudtson and Crawley.
