Jimmy Breeding Posts an impressive win at Cardinal !

 

The South Eastern New Mexico clouds opened up during the IMCA Modified heat races, many racers loaded their cars and figured the night of racing was over. But the showers subsided and all cars were called on to roll in the track and dry it out, so we could go racin'

The feature race of the night had #78 Jerry Foster and #32 Brice Corley starting things off, with #32 Brice Corley taking the advantage into turn one , #16 Bob Sikes and #10 Shane Gray tangled in turn four to bring out a red and a restart, both cars were able to continue racing.

 

On the restart #32 Brice Corley again took the lead. On lap four #16 Bob Sikes and #00 Terry Woody tangled sending Woody off the track with a flat tire, the race continued under yellow and the race made it to lap 7 when the leader #32 Brice Corley spun in turn one and collected #795 Steve Henry, and #5 Billy Johnson. Avoiding the wreckage #44 Trent Crawford assumed the lead followed by #21 Jimmy Breeding.

 

#44 Trent Crawford lead the single file restart and had #21 Jimmy Breeding hot on his bumper, trying to hold the low groove and force breeding to run high #44 Crawford held off Breeding as long as he could and forced high himself while passing lapped cars #21 Jimmy Breeding powered into the lead coming out of turn two and moved into the lead.

 

#85 Neal flowers had moved up from his 7th row starting spot into the third position, #16 Bob Sikes had charged from the back of the pack into fourth. #44 Trent Crawford held onto the second spot despite the challenge from #85 Neal Flowers, while #21 Jimmy Breeding opened up a comfortable lead.

IMCA Stock Cars

 

#97 Buck Dempsey and #64 Cary White brought the thirteen car field to green, with #64 Cary white taking the lead and leaving #97 Buck Dempsey to battle with #71 Phillip Houston and #65 Trey Jarrel for second. But lap two had #71 Phillip Houston in second spot followed by #65 Trey Jarrel.

 

#8 Bubba Locke fell out early with mechanical problems after showing that he was a contender, leaving #20 Cody Kays and #71 Phillip Houston to battle for second , after moving into second Cody Kays tagged the back stretch wall and lost two positions allowing #71 Houston to move up as well as #16 Bubba Sikes that had been moving to the front from his back of the pack starting position.

 

#64 Cary White lead the entire race until the final lap when the lapped car of #6 Lynard Barrera and #64 Cary White tangled on the final corner and #16 Bubba Sikes after passing three of the top four cars took the inside out of turn four and beat White to the checkered flag.
