Preliminary schedule for Stock Car Spectacular announced

 

Thunder Hill Raceway has announced a preliminary itinerary for the Texas Stock Car Spectacular, which takes place on Saturday, Sept. 25, 2004 at the 3/8-mile asphalt oval.

 

“We know and appreciate all the drivers, fans and families who will make the trip to Thunder Hill Raceway for that weekend, so we wanted to give everyone an idea of what to expect,” said THR Co-owner/GM Brian Callaway. “That way, people can get make plans well ahead of time. Considering we have seven classes racing here – and the fact most of them are out of town – then we wanted to give everyone the courtesy of having a timeline to follow.”

 

Callaway added, “This is a preliminary schedule, and things may come up in the mean time. People can keep up to date with the Spectacular at our web site (www.thunderhillraceway.com) for any possible changes.”

 

The following is the preliminary schedule for the Texas Stock Car Spectacular on Sept. 25. The schedule is subject to change:

 

*Friday, Sept. 24

 

Practice – Noon to dark; fajita plates and drinks will be available for purchase

 

*Saturday, Sept. 25

 

Pit Gates open at 9 a.m.; Practice begins at 10:30 a.m.; Concessions stands open at noon; Grandstand gates open at 4 p.m.; Qualifying begins at 4:15 p.m.; Opening Ceremonies begin at 6 p.m.

 

Thunder Hill Raceway is a 3/8-mile paved oval race track that runs races every Saturday night from March through October. THR is located off IH-35 at exit 210 (Yarrington Road exit).
