TEXAS ANNOUNCES 2005 SEASON SCHEDULE - HOLDS LINE ON EVENT PRICES FOR SEASON TICKET HOLDERS

FORT WORTH-DALLAS (August 3, 2004) - Texas Motor Speedway officially announced their 2005 schedule that features two NASCAR NEXTEL Cup weekends and one Indy Racing League IndyCar Series weekend and will not increase event ticket prices for Season Ticket Holders for the fifth straight year.

"We polled our PSL (Permanent Seat License) and Season Ticket Holders on the possible combination of races for 2005," said speedway president Eddie Gossage. "What we found is that the majority believe this is the perfect schedule. And by holding the line for the fifth straight year on ticket prices for PSL and Season Ticket Holders, we are demonstrating why fans find Texas Motor Speedway to be the most fan friendly venue in auto racing today."

The Samsung/RadioShack 500 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series race week is April 14-17, with the Samsung/RadioShack 500 on Sunday, April 17; the O'Reilly 300 NASCAR Busch Series race on Saturday, April 16; and the Crown Royal IROC race on Friday night, April 15. The only IRL weekend will be June 9-11 with the Bombardier 500k scheduled for Saturday night, June 11 and the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race on Friday night, June 10. The final race weekend of the year is a NASCAR tripleheader November 3-6 with the Lone Star 500 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup race on Sunday, Nov. 6; the O'Reilly Challenge NASCAR Busch Series event Saturday, Nov. 5; and the Silverado 350k NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race Friday night, Nov. 4.

"We are happy to have so many of our sponsors returning," said Gossage. "They have shown their enthusiasm for this improved schedule. Some have taken advantage of the new opportunities in 2005 including O'Reilly Auto Parts, who is sponsoring both the spring and fall NASCAR Busch Series race, and The Dallas Morning News who moved to the spring NASCAR qualifying days. We expect to have several new sponsors and will be making some announcements very soon."

Season Ticket Holders will receive even more for their money in 2005 with an additional race and qualifying day tickets now being included. The package once again includes the Crown Royal IROC race and Fandango 4, the private party for season ticket holders held during the April race week.

"We haven't raised Season Ticket prices since 2001," said Gossage. "The price for the 2005 season ticket package will increase because there are more events, but the price per ticket will not increase.

"Each year we try to make it better and better," said Gossage. "The season ticket base continues to increase each year and it does that because we provide them the best value for their dollar -- great racing and great service. They're our best customers and we want them to know how much we appreciate them. "

Season Tickets for 2005 go on sale Wednesday morning at 9 a.m. and range in price from $279 to $575 for the package that includes seven races, all qualifying, IROC and Fandango -- an increase of only $109 to $160 over 2004.

Fans that pay in full by October 1, 2004 for their 2005 Season Tickets will again receive a special gift -- a collectible "Texas Motor Speedway NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series 2005 Season Ticket Holder" sweatshirt. The collectible sweatshirt will be sent to each season ticket account holder and is not available in any other offer.

Season Tickets are available at the speedway ticket office, by calling (817) 215-8500 or by going online to www.texasmotorspeedway.com.
