hobby74
Can somebody tell me what might be wrong with my brakes. Four weeks ago I had a brake caliper break on the left front. Since then the brakes lock up going into the turns in return keeps me from driving way off in the corner. I have allready replace the break calipers and Hawk brakes. The rotors look good but did not turn them could this be the cause? Thanks, Jay
lbeaver087
jay if i was you i would try turning the rotors then try it again at the track if it still does it . i would think something is wrong with the calipers piston binding up when the brakes are applied . jp17
Your problem is most likely hydraulic. Rebuild/replace the master cylinder, clean and inspect the hard line(s) and replace the felxible ones. You didn't mention if you bought new calipers or reman but while you've got it apart go on and pop the pistons out of the calipers, check everything and put in new seals. It's not unusual for a "reman" caliper to be put together wrong or from a core that shouldn't have been re-used. jp
