chrisdavid
I figured this would be the best place to spur some discussion on exhaust ideas for a 602 crate. We are currently running a 602 crate in a Pro Truck at Houston. We have Schonefield Chassis headers that go into two 2 1/2" pipes that have an X design. The whole system is 2 1/2"(before and after the X) Would going to a 3" 2-1 Y pipe style with a 3 1/2"-4" exit be better? I have read all kinds of opinions on pipe sizes, back pressure, etc.... I'm looking for somewhat of a basic answer as it applies to the crate motor application. Thoughts?
KISS_Racing
Interesting you ask... We have plans to work over the winter on headers for 602 crates. Keep everyone posted... Mark
chrisdavid
Thanks Mark, We are pretty happy with our headers, just looking to refresh the exhaust after the headers. Sizes? Styles? Thoughts? Anything...........
KISS_Racing
I used a x-pipe in my truck with the 305. Dr Gas was the brand. I believe David ran it till he sold the truck although he can correct me. Y-pipes are good. There are some great books and info on the net on which works better for what application.
