"Texas Invader" Naumann Wins on Friday, Runs Second Saturday in Killingsworth Environmental Chevy Monte Carlo

Mobile, Alabama -- "The Texas Invader," Bowie grad Bubba Naumann, took his Killingsworth Environmental Chevrolet Monte Carlo to his second Late Model Stock Series win of the season at Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola, Florida, Friday night, April 11, to keep his lead in the series. On Saturday, he chased 2002 Kia Series champ Dale Little home to take second on the opening night of the Mobile International Speedway late model season here.

Naumann has now won two of the first three events at Five Flags (he was second in the other), and has two wins and three second place finishes in his last five races at Mobile, going back to the end of last season.

This week, Five Flags will run the first "Snowball Challenge Series 150" of the season, with the winner guaranteed a starting spot in the famed "Snowball Derby" at the end of the year. Saturday night is the start of Mobile's 2003 Late Model Challenge Series. If the car makes it through Friday night, Naumann and the Killingsworth team will try to "do the double" again.

Well, the popular Naumann did move to Florida so he could race more often. It's impossible to race twice a week in Texas unless you drive the dirt tracks, but in the Southeast you can race four or five nights per week in some areas.
